HerdWise is a livestock record-keeping app for cattle, sheep, and goats, published by Emery Tech Solutions (ETS3D LLC) ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data HerdWise handles and how. In short: your herd records live on your device, and we don't sell your data or run ads or trackers.
HerdWise is local-first. The animals, health and vaccine records, weights, breeding, pastures, and financial entries you create are stored on your device and are not sent to us unless you turn on optional cloud sync.
If you choose to create an account or sign in (with Apple, Google, or email) and enable cloud sync — a Pro feature — your herd records are backed up to our server and kept in step across your devices. This data is tied to your account, used only to provide sync and backup to you, and is never sold or shared for advertising. Signing in is optional; the app works fully offline without an account.
When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a user identifier and, if you allow it, your email and name, solely to identify your account.
HerdWise contains no third-party advertising SDKs and no analytics or tracking that identifies you. We do not build advertising profiles or track you across other apps and websites.
HerdWise Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple Account (or Google Play on Android). We do not receive or store your payment card details. Subscription status is managed by RevenueCat, our subscription-management processor, which receives your store receipt and — if you signed in — your account ID, email and display name so your Pro access follows your account across devices. Apple handles billing under its own terms and privacy policy.
HerdWise Teams is sold on the web, not through the app store, and billed by Polar, our Merchant of Record. To set up and renew a team subscription, Polar receives your email address and payment details (which they process — we never see your card) and tells us which team is active and how many seats it holds, so the right people get shared-herd access. Polar handles payment under its own terms and privacy policy.
You can delete records, or all local data, from within the app at any time. If you use cloud sync, you can sign out (which keeps your local data) or delete your account and its synced data yourself in the app (Settings → Account & cloud sync → Delete account) or by contacting us; see herdwise.app/delete.
HerdWise is intended for producers and is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
